Cool Vest Classic Testimonial

Testimonial from a Multiple Sclerosis Sufferer

When I began experiencing heat related fatigue from Multiple Sclerosis, I began to look at my different options. If I wanted the freedom to be outdoors in the heat, I had to wear a cooling vest. I did a lot of research and discovered that the typical cooling vest uses ice packs like blue ice. I found that these ice packs had two major limitations. first, the ice packs had to be stored below freezing. Second, the ice packs were too cold, causing vasoconstriction, which actually locks the heat inside of you, away from the surface of the skin.

Then I learned of coolsport, which utilizes phase change material. this material turns to a solid at 65 degrees, and remains a solid for about 2 1/2 hours. It does not require a freezer. It can be recharged in ice water in about 20 minutes. Since it is only 65 degrees, it does not have the vasoconstriction properties of traditional ice packs.

I ordered the classic model vest from coolsport with a Supplex cover. I was immediately impressed with the overall quality of the fabric and construction. I broke in the vest by wearing it when I did yard work. I remained cool the whole time. I really tested it when I wore it to the desert one afternoon when I went target shooting. It was around 100 degrees outside and I was in the direct sun for two hours. I remained comfortable for over two hours. Then I simply placed the packs in my ice chest and 20 minutes later, the packs were completely recharged. This summer I will be travelling to Israel and Italy. I'll make sure to bring my vest; I won't leave home without it. I strongly recommend that anyone with Multiple Sclerosis or other heat sensitivities purchase a Coolsport vest. I recommend purchasing the CoolSport Classic with a Supplex carrier. The material is incredibly soft.

Sincerely,
Christopher Mandala
